Grand Master Byung Ock Yoon has been in Calgary, Alberta for over 30 years, teaching Hap Ki-Do to both adults and children as early as age 4. Grand Master Yoon has a 9 Degree Black Belt in Hap Ki-Do, with over 60 years experience. Some of his credentials include:

• Over 60 years of uninterupted Martial Arts Experience

• One of the earliest Hap Ki DO Pioneers (post World War 2)

• Former Korean Military Instructor (R.O.K.M.C. & CID)

• Former Instructor for the Korean Blue House (Presidents Body Guards)

• Winner of Korean Karate Championship 1965

• Grand Master (9 dan black belt) for the Canadian Hap Ki-Do Main School

• President of the World Hoshindo Federation

• Over 35 Years Teaching in Calgary

• Top Finisher at Instructor School and University in Seoul

• Top Finisher at Acupuncture and Acupressure School

Grand Master Yoon also has an Acupuncture and Acupressure Clinic located at the school, where he is the Awarded Chairman of the Canadian Chapter, and has also received a Commendation from the International Tong Eui Science Association. Grand Master Yoon is available for Acupuncture and Acupressure sessions by appointment.

Grand Master Yoon has dedicated his life to the practice and development of Martial arts. His theories and practical knowledge far exceeds mere technical aspects of the martial arts. Master Yoon is still active as a Martial Arts teacher and is sought after by many Martial artists world wide to share his 60 years of Martial arts knowledge with them. Head Instructor Bobby Triantifallou (5th Dan Black Belt)

Instructor Triantafillou has been with Yoon's Martial Arts School for over 24 years.

Bobby's life in Hap Ki-Do:

• Joined at age 9 in 1985

• Became very passionate almost immediately

• Throughout all his training he did not miss a day of regular classes, in fact he received many yearly awards for attendance.

• Was Hapkido tournament champion for 7 consecutive years. (1988-1994)

• He earned his Black Belt at age 14

• At the age of 16 he started teaching Hap Ki-Do at Community Centers throughout the city

• At the age of 18 he earned his 2nd Dan Black Belt

• At 18 he also started teaching at Master Yoon's Studio Part-Time while he was going to College

• At the age of 21 he earned his 3rd Dan Black Belt and also started teaching at Master Yoon's Studio on a Full-Time basis

• 1997 graduated from Mt. Royal College in Marketing Management

• At the age of 24 he received his 4th Dan Black Belt

• At the age of 29 he received his 5th Dan Black Belt, which is his current belt.

• In Aug 2006 he received the rank of Pankration coach beta Taxis (Level 3 coach) under Greek Pankration confederation of Canada Bobby coaches the Alberta pankration team

• Assistant Coach for team canada in the 2006 Pankration world championship

Bobby has also completed and received certification as a Personal Fitness trainer, Bobby is now working with select clients on a application basis. Bobby is available for private lessons on a first come first serve basis. Currently Bobby has a couple of day time slots available. Private lessons with Instructor will give a student the chance to train one on one on what they want to work on. Bobby stuctures the lesson in such a way that retention and application of techniques are at a very high priority. .
